This is the privacy policy of Lodge Up North Oy in accordance with the Personal Data Act (Sections 10 and 24) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in which we explain the processing of personal data of Lodge Up North Oy’s customers. This privacy policy describes what information we collect from our customers, for what purposes we use the information, and how we protect the collected data. Please note that by making a purchase and/or subscribing to our potential newsletter, you consent to the storage of your information.

4. Purpose of personal data processing Purpose of processing personal data

Personal data is used to maintain customer relationships, process orders, handle billing, improve the user experience in the online store, conduct analytics, and prevent misuse. The information is also used to inform about the activities of Lodge Up North Oy, if the customer has permitted it. The customer has the right to prohibit the use of their information for direct marketing.

5. Content of the register

The following information is recorded in the register: the name of the customer or company/organization, the company’s business ID, address details, phone number, email address, information on marketing permissions, payment and billing information, and other information related to the order and its delivery. A personal identification number is required for customer identification when entering into a credit agreement. When you subscribe to the newsletter or respond to our customer surveys, we collect the following information in our records: name, email address, language. Additionally, we collect observed and analytics-derived information from the use of the e-commerce service, such as browsing data and device identification information (see more details below in the section “Use of Cookies”).

The source of the information is primarily the user themselves. The information is obtained from the customer themselves during the online store order, via email or phone, or when the purchase agreement is made through other means. We strive to inform you which information is mandatory for making the contract and which you can provide voluntarily.

The information is used solely for managing the customer relationship. We may disclose some necessary information to third parties, such as the payment system provider, the lender for installment payments, the carrier to ensure delivery, or the analytics and statistics partner for performing analytics. Data may also be disclosed to authorities as required by law.

Information is not transferred outside the EU or EEA.

9. Data retention

Lodge Up North Oy retains customer data for as long as the customer relationship is maintained. At the customer’s request, their personal data can be removed from the register. For the delivered order, however, the retention obligation for order, payment, and invoicing information is determined in accordance with the Accounting Act (1997/1336 § 10).

10. Use of cookies

We use cookies and other similar technologies. Cookies are used to collect information about visitor traffic and improve the user experience on the service on the user’s computer. Cookies and other identifiers have a specified expiration period, after which the browser removes the identifier. We collect visitor data through cookies for analytics and personalization purposes with third parties. The data used is anonymized. 11. The basics of register protection and security measures

In the handling of the customer register, diligence is observed, and the data being processed is properly protected. Customer data is collected in a secure electronic database, where logging in requires a username and password. Only the main user of the customer register can grant a username for the customer register, who also determines the access level for the users of the register. The customer register is handled confidentially. Only the staff of Lodge Up North Oy, whose duties include handling this information and who are bound by confidentiality, will process the data. Customer information is stored electronically, and unnecessary paper printouts are disposed of properly.

12.Right to access and the right to request correction of information

The customer can request a summary file of their personal data, including all the personal information you have provided to us. You can request the information by contacting us via email. You can also request the deletion or modification of your personal data. Additionally, the customer has the right to object to the processing of their data for marketing purposes. A request to restrict the processing of data must be submitted via email to the contact person of the register. The right to delete one’s own data does not apply to personal data that we must retain for maintenance, legal, such as accounting responsibilities, or security reasons.
